Description
Right in the centre of Bern, we have planned and built a neurology practice on an area of 210 m². The practice is located in a listed building
directly on Waisenhausplatz. Due to the low ceiling height, we used various ceiling systems. PET sails from Archisonic were used in the waiting, reception and back office areas, and baffles were used in the examination rooms to improve the acoustics without losing height. Metal ceilings were used in the laboratory and EEG room to ensure hygiene on the one hand and to conceal cables and technology on the other. In the corridor, however, the cables were left visible on the ceiling in order to maintain the room height and keep the ceiling open. The floor covering is made of linoleum in combination with a conductive rubber. The lights are from Prolicht.
Particularities
The waiting area, with its walnut-paneled walls, gives the practice a certain warmth and cozy atmosphere, and is a counterpart to the rest of the practice, which is kept rather cool.
