MEDICAL TEAM UNTERWETZIKON
Rapperswilerstrasse 1

Switzerland
Description:
The general practice Medical Team Unterwetzikon is located in a new building of the publishing and media house of Zürcher Oberland Medien AG in Wetzikon, right next to the train station. Studio Archimed was involved in the planning of the building from the very beginning. This was crucial in order to implement the planning with the necessary measures in relation to the process flows and the guidance of the conveyor belt from the pharmacy robot. In total, there are 2 reception areas in the practice,
11 examination rooms, 2 waiting rooms, 1 laboratory, 1 X-ray room, 1 multifunctional room (for ECG and other examinations) and 1 Ambi room that can be used for infusions and as an emergency room.
Particularities:
The pharmacy robot from Adroplan is located about 20 meters from the reception, where the medication collection point is located. The routing of the conveyor belt through the examination rooms required increased measures to avoid sound transmission and thus maintain patient discretion. Another special feature is the use of glass partitions for the majority of the examination rooms. These are not placed directly on the facade, as the building has no external shutters and thus adequate privacy is not guaranteed. It was therefore decided to move the examination rooms further inwards. In order to still receive daylight, the rooms were equipped with glazed walls. The placement of the traffic routes towards the facade enables better orientation of the patients within the practice and creates a connection to the outside world.

Pedeatric Practice Neustadt in Lucerne

Pedeatric Practice Neustadt
Dr. med T. Schleich
Winkelriedstr. 37
6003 Lucerne
Switzerland
Description:
The Neustadt pediatric practice for children and adolescents is located in an office building in the Neustadt district of Lucerne, not far from the practice's former location. The Neustadt district is located right in the city center, not far from Lucerne train station. The particular challenges of this project lay in the laying of waste water and water pipes, some of which had to be integrated into existing concrete walls. Where this was necessary, we opted for a cladding solution carried out by a joinery that also serves as the basis for furniture or washbasins placed in front of it. The practice comprises two reception areas, eleven examination rooms, two waiting rooms, a laboratory, a pharmacy and an area for taking blood samples.
Particularities:
The ceiling was designed with visible pipes to maximize the room height. To achieve a uniform appearance, all the pipes and the concrete ceiling were painted a light shade of gray. This paint forms the basis for the Echophon panels, which are acoustically effective. The colors of the panels were chosen to match the existing furniture, which was taken from the old location. A special feature of the practice design is the foiling, which is thematically based on the practice's original logo - a kangaroo - and refers to the fauna and flora of Australia.

General practice MED4HINWIL
Practice planning and implementation
Year
2022
Area
200 m²
Description:
Even the interior corridor, which has no access to daylight, is provided with daylight through the planning of clever openings to the treatment rooms. Despite these openings, privacy and discretion are maintained. The flow of daylight into the interior makes the corridor more friendly and allows orientation in the interior area.
The use of cooling and visible concrete ceilings and pipes gives the practice a very technical feel. To counteract this, we worked with color consultant Nadine Tachezy to select and implement a special color scheme based on the four elements.
Particularities:
A special element of this project is the reception, which features a design made of upcycled materials. The visible sheet metal was found by the carpenter in the forest and used for the design of the reception.

Area
Approx. 675 m²
Pediatric practice Globus
General Wille Str 204
8706 miles
Switzerland
Description:
At the Globus Praxis children's practice, only minimal intervention was required. The existing structure, such as the flooring and exposed concrete ceilings, was fitted with plasterboard walls to ensure adequate sound insulation, as well as the necessary electrical and plumbing installations.
In order to reduce the reverberation effect of the hard surfaces, additional sound-absorbing measures were taken and sound-absorbing ceiling panels were used.
Particularities:
An artist painted custom-made pictures of the 5 continents, from which the name of the practice is derived.
