Area
Approx. 420 m²
Description:
The dermatological clinic Dermanence AG has opened a second location, which is centrally located at Stadelhofen train station in Zurich. Covering an area of 420 m², the modern practice is divided into a medical area for general dermatology and a cosmetic area for aesthetic medicine. In total, there are five modern and professionally equipped examination rooms, five cosmetic rooms for treating patients, a practice operating room, a modern pharmacy robot from Gollmann and a cosmetic shop from SkinCeuticals.
Particularities:
The colour and material concept is very unusual: the Amazon theme is reflected in the choice of wallpaper and plants.
The very stylish wallpaper "menagerie of Extinct Animals" by moooi gives the rooms a very classy touch with fantastic, detailed flora and fauna motifs. You can see various animal species hiding in the jungle thicket. This wallpaper celebrates the diversity of nature and encourages the viewer to expand the boundaries of their imagination.
Another highlight of the stylish interior design are tropical green plants that hang from the ceiling above the reception area and green plants that act as large-scale wall coverings in the waiting area and in the examination rooms. The green walls imitate an unmistakable wild jungle. This individual and unique look allows patients to immerse themselves in a relaxing and calm atmosphere. Here, aesthetics are combined with the need for harmony with nature. The lighting concept was designed in cooperation with the Zurich-based company light on.

Practice planning and implementation
Year
2018
Area
Approx. 554 m²
Description:
The practice is located on the 5th floor of the Westlink high-rise in Zurich Altstetten, which was built by Burkhard Meyer Architects from Baden. In order to showcase the great view during the practice renovation, the reception and waiting area as well as the back office were designed to be open with glazing. This also meant that the corridor was closed off and a spacious entrance area was created.
In 2020, the practice was expanded by 186m² to make room for a cosmetics department. Construction features and materials were adopted from the medical part of the practice for the renovation. Special wallpaper and Walter Knoll seating in the waiting area have nevertheless given the new rooms their own character.
Particularities:
The corridor was designed in a zigzag pattern to create a rhythm. The partially open ceilings are necessary to accommodate the building's special climate characteristics (TABS component cooling). The concrete ceilings serve both to heat the rooms in winter and to cool them in summer.
